This is a summer activity when we visit the gardens of
friends within
information and
sometimes seeds and plants.
We have some
books which can be borrowed and our members can produce some wonderful ideas on
what to do
with awkward bits of garden and how they have coped with the different
conditions here.
We would like
to visit gardens further a field in
are always welcome for a one or two-day trip.

Gardening AGM 2008 Report:
Despite much
talk over the years we did finally take a Gardening cruise out of Amsterdam to
the Dutch Bulbfields in April last year;
although two
people were unable to make it at the last moment due to an accident on the ski
slope just days before,
and
another with ill-health. The cruisers
visited
was the

planting by the dozen but in the thousands.

visited Cahors, looking at the 31
There is an
excellent market there on a Saturday too. Ole and Puk
Nikolajsen were superb hosts to the party
and
escorted us to the royal Danish winery one afternoon, and we found the Nikolajsen’s had an exceedingly good nursery
just at
the end of their road where we all stocked up with plants.
