In our magazine of October 1999 we celebrated the 90th birthday of Eleanor Richardson, and all too soon we now sadly record her demise.
Born in Cumbria, Eleanor moved to London before World War II, and for many years was Personal Assistant to such stage and screen personalities as Lawrence Olivier, Vivian Leigh, the Lunts, Oliver Messel, Carol Reed.
After the death of her husband, Eleanor spent some years in the south of Spain before settling in Andorra.
Our sympathy goes to her family – or you may prefer to think of it as a celebration of her life.
